Raytown sits just east of I-435 and north of Lee’s Summit, and its storage supply is concentrated in two places: E 350 Hwy on the southeast side and Woodson Rd near E 79th St. Both are Public Storage pads. More Public Storage sites ring the city on the Kansas City side, on E 67th Terrace, James A Reed Rd and E 47th St. This page covers open parking and enclosed, vehicle-tagged units for RVs, boats, trailers and cars. It is not the same as our drive-up Raytown guide, which covers roll-up units for household goods.
This page was researched on 2026-10-13 from operator facility pages, with one listing-site cross-check. It is a snapshot, not a live inventory feed. Spaces fill and web rates change, so call or check the facility page before you tow anything over.

What stood out on research day
- Public Storage at 9624 E 350 Hwy is the only Raytown pad with open parking listed. Its facility page showed three uncovered parking spaces: an 8×20 at $46/mo online ($58 list), a second 8×20 tagged Vehicle Parking at $51/mo ($64 list), and an 8×30 at $58/mo ($73 list). All three carried a $1 first month web promo. Enclosed drive-up units tagged for vehicles ran $150–$198/mo online. Access is 6:00 AM–10:00 PM daily.
- Public Storage at 7900 Woodson Rd has the biggest enclosed bays in town but no open lot listed. Its boat-or-vehicle units were a 10×25 at $209/mo online ($278 list), which is also climate controlled, a 10×30 at $235/mo ($313) and a 10×45 at $334/mo ($445). It is the only facility on this page that lists 24/7 Access Available, next to regular hours of 6:00 AM–10:00 PM.
- The lowest posted vehicle prices were just outside city limits, on Halloween sale pricing. Public Storage at 9527 James A Reed Rd (Kansas City 64134) listed uncovered 10×20 parking at $37/mo online ($74 list) and boat-or-vehicle enclosed units at $93 (10×25) and $106 (10×30). Public Storage at 8601 E 67th Terrace (Kansas City 64133) listed an enclosed 10×20 tagged Vehicle Parking at $79/mo ($158 list). These sale rates were about half of list on research day and may not last.
- Need 40 ft or more? The longest enclosed options we found were the 10×45 at Woodson ($334/mo online) and a 10×40 at E 67th Terrace ($222/mo online, $296 list). No covered carport or canopy parking was listed at any of the five facilities on research day.
- Every Public Storage rental on this page adds a one-time $29 admin fee.

Sources (public pages, 2026-10-13): Public Storage facility pages #6038 (9624 E 350) and #906 (7900 Woodson Rd) in Raytown, and #853 (James A Reed Rd), #888 (E 67th Terrace) and #1133 (E 47th St) in Kansas City. We cross-checked against the SelfStorage.com Raytown RV storage listing, which showed the same James A Reed 10×30 ($106 / $212) and the Woodson $334 / $445 bay.
Takeaway: For a priced open parking space inside Raytown, start with Public Storage on E 350 Hwy ($46–$58 for 8×20 and 8×30 spaces). For an enclosed bay in town, Woodson Rd has the longest (10×45) and the only climate-controlled vehicle unit we saw. If you can drive a few minutes, the James A Reed and E 67th Terrace sale prices were the lowest on this page, but confirm what the rate becomes after the promo.

Price ladder by rig size (research day, online rates)
| What you’re storing | Options seen (online price, list in parentheses) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Car, small trailer or jet skis | Uncovered 8×20: $46 ($58) or $51 ($64) at E 350; 10×20 parking $37 ($74) at James A Reed | Uncovered means sun, hail and ice exposure |
| Car you want enclosed | 10×20 Vehicle Parking: $79 ($158) at E 67th Terrace, $157 ($196) at E 350 | Confirm door height and that the lease allows a vehicle |
| Fishing boat or pontoon on a trailer | 10×25 boat or vehicle: $85 (E 67th), $93 (James A Reed), $150 (E 350), $209 climate controlled (Woodson) | Measure overall length including the tongue and motor |
| Travel trailer or longer boat (about 25–30 ft) | 8×30 uncovered $58 ($73) at E 350; 10×30 enclosed $92 (E 47th), $106 (James A Reed), $198 (E 350), $235 (Woodson) | 8 ft wide spaces can be tight for wide-body trailers |

Web prices exclude the $29 admin fee, insurance (protection plans), tax and later rate changes. Halloween sale rates at James A Reed, E 67th Terrace and E 47th ran about 50% below list, so ask what the rate becomes once the promo ends.
Covered vs uncovered vs enclosed
- Uncovered lot: cheapest and easiest to pull into. E 350’s 8×20 and 8×30 spaces and James A Reed’s 10×20 are all uncovered.
- Covered carport or canopy: none listed at the five facilities on research day. If you need a roof without a full garage, ask each manager directly or widen your search to Lee’s Summit and Independence.
- Enclosed drive-up unit: best protection for a classic car or boat. Public Storage tags these as “Boat or Vehicle” or “Vehicle Parking”. Woodson’s 10×25 is also climate controlled, which is uncommon for a vehicle unit.
- Power at the space: not advertised on any of the parking or vehicle units we priced.
Length checklist before you tow
| What you’re storing | Ask the facility |
|---|---|
| Daily driver or second car | Uncovered 8×20 or enclosed 10×20? Does it need to be registered, insured and running? |
| Motorcycle or ATV | Will they rent a smaller enclosed unit for it, or require a parking space? |
| Fishing boat or jet skis on a trailer | Overall length with the tongue? Will an 8 ft wide space fit the trailer fenders? |
| Pontoon or wake boat | Enclosed 10×25 or 10×30 door height with a tower? |
| Travel trailer or Class C | Is the 8×30 uncovered space or a 10×30 enclosed unit open right now? |
| Fifth wheel or Class A | Is the 10×40 (E 67th) or 10×45 (Woodson) actually available, and how tall is the door? |
Measure overall length, including the hitch, and have that number ready when you call.
Verify checklist (before you rent)
- Confirm the space is open or enclosed, and whether the lot is paved or gravel
- Confirm the space length and width against your rig, including the hitch and any motor
- Ask whether the online price is still live and what the rate becomes after the promo month(s)
- Confirm gate hours (6:00 AM–10:00 PM at all five) and whether Woodson’s 24/7 access costs extra or needs approval
- Bring title, registration and proof of insurance. Ask whether the vehicle must run and be tagged
- Ask about rules on batteries, propane and fuel, and whether you can wash or work on the vehicle on site
- Budget the $29 admin fee and any required protection plan
Raytown practical tips
- E 350 Hwy is the parking lot; Woodson is the garage. On research day, E 350 had the only open spaces in town, and Woodson had the largest enclosed bays plus the 24/7 access claim.
- Prices moved since our drive-up guide. On 2026-09-23 we recorded the E 350 8×30 parking space at about $55/mo online; today it was $58 ($73 list).
- Sale pricing is a timing play. The James A Reed, E 67th Terrace and E 47th spillover sites were running a Halloween sale at roughly half of list. If you’re ready to store now, those rates beat everything inside Raytown. If not, expect them to change.
- Not listed here: We found no StorageMart, Extra Space or U-Haul storage location inside Raytown city limits on research day. The nearest StorageMart and U-Haul sites are in Independence, Lee’s Summit and south Kansas City.
