Quick answer
Only one Raytown facility advertised a facility-level 24/7 badge on research day: Public Storage at 7900 Woodson Road. It still lists regular access hours of 6:00 AM–10:00 PM next to that badge, so ask how after-hours entry works. Raytown's other Public Storage pad, on E 350 Hwy, shows no badge and closes at 10:00 PM. At Woodson, an inside 10×10 was $85 online ($113 in-store) and an outside drive-up 10×10 was $96 ($128). SpareFoot's Raytown 24-hour page listed 23 facilities, none inside Raytown city limits.

If you work a late shift off I-435 or Hwy 350, keep tools or work gear in a unit, or need to load a truck after dark, gate hours matter more than the sticker price. We checked both Public Storage pads inside Raytown, the nearby Kansas City pads on James A Reed Rd, E 67th Terrace and E 47th St, and the 24/7-badge pads a short drive away. On research day only one Raytown facility advertised a facility-level “24/7 Access Available” badge on its own page: Public Storage on Woodson Road (64138). Every other page we read near Raytown listed access ending at 10:00 PM.
This page was researched on 2026-10-20 from operator facility pages, with listing-site cross-checks. It is a snapshot, not a live inventory feed. Hours, promos and web rates change, so call or check the facility page before you rent. Pair it with our drive-up Raytown, climate Raytown and vehicle & boat Raytown guides.
Disclosure: When affiliate links go live, we may earn a commission if you reserve through a partner. Prices below are research snapshots, not a booking guarantee. We only list “24/7” or “24-hour” claims that the facility itself (or the listing we name) publishes. No fake reviews.
What stood out on research day
- One Raytown pad carries Public Storage’s “24/7 Access Available” badge: Woodson Rd (#906). The same page lists the property as open Mon–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM, with the office on the same hours. Ask whether 24/7 entry applies to your unit and whether it costs extra.
- Woodson has both inside and outside units. An inside 10×10 was $85/mo online ($113 in-store) and an outside drive-up 10×10 was $96 ($128). The cheapest cards were a 5×10 at $31 (inside or outside drive-up, $62 in-store, Halloween Sale) and an inside 5×5 at $34 ($45).
- Raytown’s other Public Storage pad has no badge. E 350 Hwy (#6038) lists move-in and access Mon–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM and outdoor units only. Its drive-up 10×10 was $152 online ($190 in-store) with a $1 first month promo. It’s the place for cheap parking: 8×20 uncovered from $48.
- The cheapest 10×10s near Raytown close at 10:00 PM. Just over the Kansas City line, Public Storage E 67th Terrace had a drive-up 10×10 at $39 ($78), James A Reed Rd $50 ($100) and E 47th St $64–$73 ($128–$146), all on a Halloween Sale. None of the three shows a 24/7 badge.
- SpareFoot’s “24 Hour Storage in Raytown” page lists 23 facilities and none are in Raytown. The closest is StorageMart E Hwy 40 & Kendall Dr in Independence (4.7 miles away per SpareFoot), whose own page says access closes at 10:00 PM and makes no facility-specific overnight claim. Treat the filter as a question for the manager, not a promise.
- Closest badge pads outside Raytown: Public Storage Troost Ave (about 6 miles, all indoor climate, 10×10 from $66), NE Douglas in Lee’s Summit (about 6.5 miles) and E 112th Terrace (about 7 miles, outdoor drive-up and vehicle bays). Distances are from Public Storage’s Raytown 24/7 page.
- Public Storage sale prices last four months. Unit cards show the online rate as the monthly rent and the in-store rate as the rent from month 5. Every Public Storage rental adds a one-time $29 admin fee.

Takeaway: For a facility-level 24/7 badge inside Raytown, Public Storage on Woodson Road is the only one we found, with an inside 10×10 at $85 online and a drive-up 10×10 at $96 on research day. Still ask how after-hours entry works, because the page lists 6:00 AM–10:00 PM access next to the badge. If 10:00 PM is late enough, Public Storage E 67th Terrace had the cheapest 10×10 near Raytown at $39 on a Halloween Sale.

Web prices exclude the $29 admin fee, insurance or protection plans, tax and later rate changes. E 67th Terrace’s Halloween Sale rates are half of in-store and last four months. Woodson’s 10×10 cards weren’t on the sale, so the gap shrinks after month 4: $113–$128 at Woodson vs $78 at E 67th Terrace.
What “24-hour access” means here
- A facility badge is not the same as a unit tag. Woodson shows “24/7 Access Available” at the facility level, but none of its unit cards carried a “24hr Access” tag on research day.
- Regular hours still apply to most renters. Woodson lists 6:00 AM–10:00 PM next to the badge. Ask whether overnight entry is automatic, by request, or costs extra.
- Listing sites filter loosely. SpareFoot’s 24-hour Raytown page lists 23 facilities, mostly StorageMart pads 5–15 miles away, and the closest one’s own page says access closes at 10:00 PM. Go by what the facility tells you.
- “On request” means ask first. StorageMart Jones Industrial says 24-hour access is available upon request. Get it confirmed before you sign, not after.
- Inside units after hours. Woodson’s inside units sit behind building doors. Ask whether those doors are open after hours, not just the outer gate. A drive-up unit avoids the question.
Verify checklist (before you rent)
- Ask whether 24/7 access applies to the specific unit you’re renting, or only to some units
- Ask whether after-hours access costs extra, needs manager approval, or is by application
- For inside units, ask whether the building doors are open after hours, not just the gate
- Ask whether the online price is still live and what the rate becomes after month 4 or after the promo
- Budget the $29 admin fee (Public Storage) or the 2.5% card fee (StorageMart) and any required protection plan
- Check gate code rules, lighting and cameras if you plan to visit late at night
Raytown practical tips
- Woodson vs Hwy 350. Woodson Rd (#906) is in the 64138 ZIP. E 350 Hwy (#6038) sits on the Hwy 350 corridor toward Lee’s Summit. Only Woodson has the badge.
- Hours changed since our September guides. On 2026-09-21 and 2026-09-23 we recorded Woodson access as 6:00 AM–9:00 PM. Its page now lists 6:00 AM–10:00 PM daily plus the 24/7 badge.
- Prices move. Woodson’s inside 10×10 was $80 on our 2026-10-16 check and $85 on 2026-10-20. James A Reed’s drive-up 10×10 was about $82 online in September and is $50 on today’s Halloween Sale.
- Need parking or a big bay? E 350 Hwy has uncovered 8×20 and 8×30 spaces, and Woodson and E 112th Terrace post enclosed bays up to 10×45 and 20×40. See vehicle & boat Raytown.
