Quick answer
Only two Overland Park facilities advertised 24/7 access on their own pages on research day: Public Storage at 11230 Mastin Street and at 12501 Hemlock Street. Both list regular access hours of 6:00 AM–10:00 PM next to a "24/7 Access Available" badge, so ask how after-hours access works before you rent. Hemlock had the lowest prices of the two, with drive-up 10×10 units at $39/mo online ($78 list) on a Halloween sale. The other four Public Storage pads and all eight StorageMart pads in Overland Park listed access ending at 10:00 PM.

If you work nights, run a business out of a unit, or load out after a late shift, gate hours matter more than the sticker price. Overland Park has more than a dozen chain storage pads, but on research day only two advertised 24/7 access on their own facility pages: Public Storage on Mastin Street (66210, near I-435) and on Hemlock Street (66213). Everything else we checked in the city listed access ending at 10:00 PM.
This page was researched on 2026-10-14 from operator facility pages, with listing-site cross-checks. It is a snapshot, not a live inventory feed. Hours, promos and web rates change, so call or check the facility page before you rent. Pair it with our drive-up Overland Park, climate Overland Park and vehicle & boat Overland Park guides.
Disclosure: When affiliate links go live, we may earn a commission if you reserve through a partner. Prices below are research snapshots, not a booking guarantee. We only list “24/7” or “24-hour” claims that the facility itself (or the listing we name) publishes. No fake reviews.
What stood out on research day
- Two Overland Park pads carry Public Storage’s “24/7 Access Available” badge: Mastin St (#1050) and Hemlock St (#997). Both pages also list regular property and access hours of 6:00 AM–10:00 PM daily. Public Storage’s own FAQ says 24/7 access is “an added feature” at some properties and that availability varies, so ask whether it applies to your unit and whether it costs extra.
- Hemlock St was the cheaper of the two. All of its listed units were outside drive-up: a 5×5 at $23/mo online ($30 list, $1 first month), a 5×10 at $26 ($52), a 10×10 at $39 ($78), and a 10×20 at $61 ($122). The 5×10, 10×10 and 10×20 were on a Halloween sale. Hemlock also lists a full-service kiosk.
- Mastin St has the widest mix. Climate-controlled indoor units started at $13/mo online for a 5×5 ($26 list), with a climate 10×10 at $69 ($92). Drive-up units ran from a 5×5 at $17 to a 10×20 at $81 ($162). It also listed an enclosed 10×20 Vehicle Parking unit at $87 ($174) and a 10×30 boat or vehicle unit at $222 ($296). A property manager lives on site.
- Sale prices are for the first four months. Public Storage unit cards show the online rate as the monthly rent and the list rate as “Months 5–12 In-Store Rent.” A Hemlock 10×10 at $39 goes back to $78. Every Public Storage rental adds a one-time $29 admin fee.
- StorageMart closes at 10:00 PM. All eight StorageMart operator pages in Overland Park said access closes at 10:00 PM, and none claimed 24-hour access. SpareFoot’s “24 hour storage in Overland Park” page still lists StorageMart on Shawnee Mission Pkwy and Antioch Rd. Treat that as a question for the manager, not a promise.
- Need a unit tagged for 24-hour access? The closest one we found is just over the line in Merriam. Public Storage at 7100 W Frontage Rd tagged two drive-up units “24hr Access”: a 10×10 at $61/mo online ($122) and a 10×24 at $94 ($188).

Sources (public pages, 2026-10-14): Public Storage facility pages #1050, #997, #6311, #7283, #7284 and #7376 in Overland Park, #1077 in Merriam, #938 in Mission, and #987, #6053 and #5650 in Lenexa, plus Public Storage’s Overland Park 24/7 access page; StorageMart operator pages for its eight Overland Park locations; SpareFoot’s Overland Park 24-hour storage page; FindSelfStorage’s Extra Space Farley St listing. We cross-checked against the SelfStorage.com Overland Park listing, which matched Hemlock’s 5×5 $23, 5×10 $26 and 10×10 $39 exactly. It showed a Mastin 10×10 at $59 ($78) that didn’t match either 10×10 on the operator page ($62 drive-up, $69 climate), so we used the operator prices.
Takeaway: For 24/7 access inside Overland Park, start with Public Storage on Hemlock St if you want the lowest drive-up price ($39 10×10 online), or Mastin St if you need climate control or a vehicle unit. Both still list 6:00 AM–10:00 PM regular hours, so ask how after-hours entry works before you sign. If you need a unit that is explicitly tagged for 24-hour access, Merriam’s W Frontage Rd location is the closest we found.

Web prices exclude the $29 admin fee, insurance (protection plans), tax and later rate changes. Most of these were Halloween sale rates at about half of list, and the unit card shows list price as the rent from month 5.
What “24-hour access” means here
- A facility badge is not the same as a unit tag. Mastin St and Hemlock St show “24/7 Access Available” at the facility level, but none of their unit cards carried a 24-hour tag on research day. Merriam’s W Frontage Rd showed the badge and tagged two specific units “24hr Access.”
- Regular hours still apply to most renters. Every Public Storage page on this list showed 6:00 AM–10:00 PM access next to the badge. Ask whether 24/7 entry is automatic, needs approval, or costs extra.
- Listing sites filter loosely. SpareFoot’s 24-hour page includes StorageMart pads whose own pages say access closes at 10:00 PM. Go by what the facility tells you.
- Late access matters most for drive-up units. Hemlock’s units are all outside drive-up, so after-hours visits mean parking at your door. Mastin’s climate units are indoors and use elevators, so ask whether the building is open after hours too, not just the gate.
Verify checklist (before you rent)
- Ask whether 24/7 access applies to the specific unit you’re renting, or only to some units
- Ask whether after-hours access costs extra or needs manager approval
- For indoor climate units, ask whether the building doors are open after hours, not just the gate
- Ask whether the online price is still live and what the rate becomes after month 4
- Budget the $29 admin fee and any required protection plan
- Check gate code rules, lighting and cameras if you plan to visit late at night
Overland Park practical tips
- North OP vs south OP. Both 24/7 pads are south of I-435 (Mastin St in 66210, Hemlock St in 66213). If you live in north OP near Shawnee Mission Pkwy, the Merriam and Mission pads are closer than either.
- Hours changed since our drive-up guide. On 2026-10-02 we recorded Public Storage Mastin as often closing at 9:00 PM. Its page now lists 6:00 AM–10:00 PM.
- Sale pricing is a timing play. Hemlock’s 10×10 at $39 and Mastin’s 10×20 at $81 were half of list on research day. If you’ll store longer than four months, compare the list rate too.
- Not listed here: U-Haul’s Overland Park search showed no U-Haul storage location inside city limits. The nearest, U-Haul Lenexa at 9250 Marshall Dr, lists access 5:00 AM–10:00 PM daily (an earlier start, not 24/7). CubeSmart’s site and Extra Space’s own site blocked our page fetch, so we couldn’t check them directly. Extra Space Farley St hours come from the FindSelfStorage listing.

Method note
Facility names, addresses, phones, hours, 24-hour claims and Public Storage prices come from public operator pages read on 2026-10-14. StorageMart hours come from its eight Overland Park operator pages. StorageMart prices come from SpareFoot, and Extra Space hours and prices come from FindSelfStorage and SelfStorage.com, because StorageMart’s pages didn’t show unit prices to us and Extra Space’s site blocked the fetch. U-Haul hours come from U-Haul’s Overland Park storage search. “Online” is the price shown for web rentals; “list” is the higher regular rate shown next to it. Public Storage in Merriam, Mission and Lenexa are outside Overland Park city limits and are labeled as spillover. Where a page didn’t show a 24-hour claim, we say “none” instead of guessing. We don’t invent facilities, reviews or prices.
